Wow…Rome. Today was tourist day, history and wonder. The Coliseum, Forum and Palatine Hill.
SURPRISED BY VATICAN MUSEUMS AND SISTINE CHAPEL
The Vatican was a delicious surprise thanks to Rick Steves audio which was brilliant and enlightening. Another great Roman day!
LEANING TOWARD PISA
Everything was a bit wonky. We knew we would find the Tower of Pisa leaning, but we didn’t expect our train to lean, too. Travel day!
REST IN PISA…AH!
A day off in Pisa. Well, mostly.
SWEATING THROUGH LA TRAVIATA, VERONA ARENA
Opera day in Verona! The temperature was 37C the entire five hours we sat on the stone steps of the Verona Arena watching La Traviata. And still it was magic!
