Funny that we expected the worst as we left Cork for Ballinatona because we found a place, people and a dog that we absolutely adore.

BACK IN FIONA’S HOUSE
We had returned to things we knew, from Fiona’s house to the Saturday Market to Saffi’s habits and the cows. It felt comforting.
WATER DAY, HOLY UNEXPECTED SHIT!
A day, like so many, that could not be anticipated. The Last Wave comes to Ballinatona. It’s a water day!
CONVERSATIONS OF IRELAND
Post-flood, the day returned to normal, aside from the dehumidifiers humming. Lots of talking and thinking for Chloe and me, and some great food.
