TUESDAY, MAY 21

We scrapped the idea of going to an island. It was cold and we were tired from climbing all these stairs. Chloe said “It’s like bootcamp, but only for our legs.” Instead we took a long walk (more hills and stairs!) to the Park in Lapad, Velika and Mala Petka.

To get to Lapad, which is a nature preserve, we walked through quiet neighborhoods. The highest point offered great views of the ocean and islands. We lingered. The air was cool and fresh.
Returning in the evening to our airbnb, we passed through new neighborhoods. A simple, easy (though we still worked up a sweat) day. Just what we needed.
