FRIDAY, JULY 12
It was Friday, but for us, it was one of our few Saturdays. What does that mean? Well, we took our clothes to the laundromat and ran errands. It even rained a little bit to make it feel like a NYC, catchup Saturday. Berlin feels so much like NYC to me.
People here are comfortable with other people, don’t mind the gaze, hang out, engage, laugh, move quickly and smoothly on sidewalks, look you in the eye, and speak many languages.
And though we walked the streets while running our errands, mostly, we stayed in the apartment. I wrote. Chloe cooked. Ah….a break from the intensity of long walks and intense learning.
