WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3
The task of the day was to call American Express. No signal at the house so off we went to Union Hall.
On our walk there, we could feel how much stronger we were from when we arrived. And we felt our endurance was better, too.
Joey, the older, bear-like Golden Retriever, greeted us as we topped the hill and passed his house. He was sad when we made him stay home.
I still couldn’t get a signal on my phone in Union Hall.
We decided to have lunch at the Coffee Shop. Saffi slept at our feet while we ate. The Coffee Shop owner still hasn’t warmed up to us, but we love the little coffee shop anyway. It is quaint with it’s old, chipped china and wooden tables. A group of women were meeting to discuss something at a table near us. Maybe a reading group.
The sun was shining so we went outside for my coffee.
Back at home, I walked down the causeway to try calling American Express again. No signal. Such an odd thing to be disconnected from the outside world. We spent the evening preparing for our early morning departure to Cork.
